OBAKE-YA Japanese Restaurant

I went to try out the Obake-Ya Japanese Restaurant last Sun with my friends. We celebrate 2 of my friend’s birthday there. I suggested the place since I want to try out the food there. There is also another reason, my friends always cannot make decision where to go every time. It’s better for me to make the decision and all of them just follow.

Obake-Ya Restaurant is unique! Inside, they design it like a jail or prison. That’s why it attracts many people to go there. I made the reservation 1 week ahead. I just afraid later I forgot about it. We went during lunch time.

We have 6 people and we ordered quite a lot of food. All foods we ordered are not the main course. we share among ourselves. I forgot the name of the food we ordered, but we have sushi, sashimi, unagi, tempura, etc…

For the drink, you may want to order their special drink, which is not in the menu. It’s very special. The drink was in a test tube with a ~~needle~~syringe on top. It’s a mix fruit juice. You only need to tell them you want the special drink, they will know what you are ordering.

Overall, the environment was good. The food was OK, some a bit too salty. The price is a little bit high if compare to other Japanese Restaurant. The total bill for 6 of us is around RM295, ~ RM50 per person.

Joze, yes, special drink is a must try item. I’m not sure about the seating. If you don’t have enough people, treat me to go la, for sure I will go and help u fill up the seat. Hahaha
