Electric blanket is very useful during winter time. I have experienced it during my trip to Cheng Du last year. I booked the hostel that never provides the electric blanket. They only have the heater, that you need to pay for it. There is another hostel nearby which provides the blanket with no extra charges. I ever think of this in the first place when I booked the hostel. During that time, the weather was so cold at night. If we have an electric blanket or the heated mattress pads, that will be the best. I will not forget those nights. Without any choice, we paid for the heater in the end, in order to get warm and not freeze to death.
