Every time when you step into the hotel, you can see the sconce along the hallways or corridors. Sconce is only supported by the wall and generally 3/4 of the distance up the wall, measured from the floor to the ceiling. The light of the sconce is usually directed upwards, in order to provide lighting for a long distance. This is the reason why most of the hotel is using sconce instead of other lighting.
