Another dish from the 3rd food blogger gathering. It was the Smoked Salmon and Focaccia from Lilian. She prepared them on the spot.

I think I have 2 of them since they are really yummy. Most of the food blogger who attended on that day were really good in cooking. I also hope I can become a good cook in future.

I have this Clam Chowder at Swensens when I was in Singapore. Normally, I go to Swensens because of its Earthquake. But this time, I just ordered the Clam Chowder for lunch.

The Clam Chowder was served in the sourdough breadbowl. The sourdough was crispy. The soup was so creamy! In the soup, you can find baby clams, diced potatoes, carrots, onions and celery. Thumbs Up!! A MUST try item!

One of the item from the 3rd food blogger gathering is the sushi. CK is the one responsible for that.

The sushi looks colorful. I manage to take few pieces before I stop eating on that night. Oh, I just like sushi, very nice! Do you notice the plate is big too? It is huge, in fact. LOL.

Will it be another pot luck session in the next gathering? I have no idea.

I made the mashed potato for the 3rd food blogger gethering. This is the very first time I msde this dish. To me, it is not up to standard if compare to others food. I think mine will be the worst food among all the food on that night.

After they tested my mashed potato, they said I put too much butter. I need to put in salt and pepper it make it more tasty. Thanks for the feedback and I will work harder next time.

My colleague keeps recommending the Jawa Mee from Jalan Tengah. Finally I have the chance to try it out. I ordered the normal Jawa Mee while my friend ordered the Maggi Jawa Mee.

Normal Jawa Mee.

Maggi Jawa Mee.

The Jawa Mee is really good! The portion is really big if you order the big one (Hahaha). The vegetables and prawn crackers are a lot if you compare to other stalls Jawa Mee. If you go to Jalan Tengah for lunch in future, do try out this Jawa Mee. A must try!

I was having the Fried Rice with Fish Ball when I was in KL last September. I forgot which food court I was in. The stall called Little Wok.

The Fried Rice was very normal and simple. After they fried the rice, they just serve it in a little wok, and add in one stick of fish ball. That’s it! You also know how to do it right?

If you cannot think of what to have for either lunch or dinner, and like to full your stomach, Fried Rice with Fish Ball is one of your choices!

After the Muar Chee, we saw this stall on the opposite side of the road, Mook’s Pizza. My friend wanted to try it out. We crossed the road and took some photos before ordering the pizza.

So many boxes on the Van. Yes, this pizza stall is operated on a van.

The owner was preparing the pizza.

There were 3 types: Hawaiian Pizza, Vegetarian Pizza and Curry Chicken Pizza.

My friend ordered the Hawaiian Pizza. The pizza was ready in advance. While I was still taking the photos, my friend already had the pizza on this hand. Wow! Fast service.

The pizza was the thin and crispy type. It was just for eating fun since it will not make you full.

I still prefer the normal pizza! 🙂

I went to have the vegetarian food during one of the day of 9 Emperor God festival. There were so many stalls putting up during the festival. You can see all the stalls in most of the area, with the yellow banner on it.

This Muar Chee was located at Taman Lip Sin. It was on the motorcycle.

You can see that this Muar Chee has been advertised in newspaper before.

The Muar Chee was almost the same as the normal one. Nothing much different.

A closer view. I like the peanuts. Sometimes, I will ask for more peanuts in the Muar Chee. Oh…. I just remember the difference between normal and vegetarian Muar Chee. Normal Muar Chee will have the spring onion on top but vegetarian Muar Chee is without.

I am not sure where this uncle sell his Muar Chee during normal days. Anyone knows?

I forgot the name of this food. Is it Nacho? It is a Mexican food. My friend ordered this and it was quite nice. However, it comes with a big portion and hard for you to finish it alone. It is recommended to share with your friend.

I tried some of them and I like it very much. I will try it again in future and finish it alone. Hahaha.

I ordered this Sui Kau Soup together with the Wan Tan Mee in Kean Lai Seng coffee shop since my friends want to try on it.

I feel disappointed on the Sui Kau Soup like the Wan Tan Mee. Both dishes were not as good as I thought. It’s better to save the money and eat in elsewhere.

I have this Wan Tan Mee with my friends at Kean Lai Seng Coffee Shop.

I was disappointed with the Wan Tan Mee. It was not nice. I don’t want to say more about it. You can go have it if you have the chance and let me know about your review.

Kean Lai Seng is located at Lorong Kampung Malabar, the road just opposite the Kayu Mamak Restaurant in Penang Road.

This economy rice costs me RM4.20! Can you imagine that? With only egg and chicken, no matter how I count, I have no idea why it will cost RM4.20! However, if chicken costs RM2, egg costs RM1.50 and rice costs RM0.70, it’s exactly RM4.20.

I should have asked the boss before I paid. Next time I must remember about this!

I tried this Fried Jawa Mee one of the morning in Kampung Jawa. I never notice this Jawa Mee stall until that day. Every time I go to this coffee shop, I will only order the Wan Tan Mee.

I waited for quite some time before the Fried Jawa Mee was served. Fried Jawa Mee is more or less the same as the Indian Mee Goreng. I ordered the Fried Jawa Mee instead of the normal Jawa Mee with the gravy since I prefer Fried Jawa Mee more.

The Fried Jawa Mee was a bit too wet. I think the cook put some water before took it up for serving.

Overall, the Fried Jawa Mee was just OK. It costs RM2.50 per plate.

My friend ordered this when we were at Northam Beach Cafe last month. That was my first time trying the grill fish (or Ikan Bakar in Malay) there.

Like what my friend said, the grill fish was nice. No wonder my friend recommended this dish to me.

Northam Beach Cafe has a lot of food varieties: Mexican food, Philippine food, Jumbo Sausage, Special Muar Chee and etc. I am going to try all of them if I have the chance.

My friend was kind enough to buy me this Prawn Otak-Otak from Johor. Many thanks to her. This is the first time I am having the frozen otak-otak. From the package, you can see that there are 2 types, fish and prawn.

It was so hard when I get it out from the fridge.

What you need to do is to steam it and it will be ready to serve.

See the prawn?

Overall, it was not bad. But I still prefer the normal otak-otak that I have from the economy rice stall.
