We have 5 choices on the pasta and we can choose 2 of them. After looking through the choices, we finally choose the Spaghetti alla Carbonara and Fusilli Italiana. I have covered the carbonara previously.

Fusilli Italiana is prepared in pesto, tomato, and cream sauce. Although it looks pretty simple, I like it! Same goes to Carbonara. Both of them are nice! However, the normal price is RM23, which is a bit expensive with its portion. Will I go again? I think there are still a lot of restaurant that serve better pasta with a lower price.

I ordered the Chicken Herbs Linguine from the main course. Luckily, the main course is not bad. Although it is not really good, better than the soup of the day and dessert of the day.

I like the spiciness but I don’t like the garlic. The chef put too much on it. For the price of RM21.90++, I think it’s too expensive for the food served.

We went for the set lunch that comes with soup of the day, main course, dessert and drink.

The soup of the day is not special at all. I like the soup to be thick but this is totally out.

For the dessert, it is still OK. It seems to be a cheese cake with shredded coconut cream.

Both items are not meeting my expectation.

Many said the yogurt from the Mugshot Cafe is a MUST try item. I never order it as I have already ordered the Smoke Salmon with Cream Cheese Bagel and Latte. This 2 items have already cost me RM20. It is a bit too expensive if I also order the yogurt. It will be a total of RM30 just for a breakfast. RM30 for a breakfast?! Crazy huh!

My friend ordered the Mango Walnut yogurt. I have the chance to taste it. It is to sour for my liking.

Maybe it will be better if choosing another flavor, which is honey with kiwi.

Do you like bagel? If the answer is YES, then you will not want to miss the bagel from Mugshot Cafe. The bagel it toasted until it is crispy, before add in the cream cheese and smoke salmon.

The taste is super good and yummy! However, the price is not cheap. It is RM10. For people who don’t like bagel, maybe you will change your thought after trying this one from Mugshot Cafe.

I have seen many people posted about the cronut from The Alley beside the Churros. It is also a recommended item.

It is a combination of Croissant and Donut, a new item for me. It is good and I like the almond pieces that comes along with it.

Salad is one of my food choices during the weekend. If I decided to have salad, I will need to have it on both Saturday and Sunday as the mix salad cannot last for another weekend. Last week, I bought the lettuce and boneless chicken breast. I grilled the chicken breast in the oven and have it together with the lettuce. For dressing, I am using the Kewpie Wafu dressing.

It is yummy and good. Besides, the preparation is not hard at all. Just need to wait around 20-30 minutes to grill the chicken breast.

Lemon Cheesecake is the signature dessert from The Alley.

It’s not bad actually. I feel like the taste of the lemon cheesecake is similar to the one I made myself. I forgot the price for this cheesecake. I think it’s below RM10.

It’s not cheap to have breakfast in Mugshot Cafe. I ordered the Latte and it costs RM10.

If you are looking for nice art on your latte, just forget about it. Taste wise, normal. But, I like the environment. It has the relaxing feel although it is located in one of the busiest street in Penang.

A MUST try item from The Alley.

Small one (4 pcs) only comes with one dipping sauce while big one (6 pcs) comes with 2. We chose cinnamon sugar and nutella. It’s really yummy!

The Alley is located at Stewart Lane, Georgetown, Penang.

The Mix Green Salad is very normal. I can do better than that. Some of the leaves are bitter. I think they use balsamic vinegar as one of the dressing. I am not sure which other dressing they mixed with.

Anyhow, It is not a wow item. It comes with the voucher, so we don’t really have any choices.

My friend ordered this Sashimi Sushi and Udon lunch set from Rakuzen. It seems nice and I thought of ordering this too. Since my friend wants it, I ordered another one.

I am not sure about the taste but my friend likes it. Maybe I can try it another time. For people who cannot decide what to have, either rice or noodle, they can try this option out.

My friend bought the voucher and I went along. One of the food we ordered is the Carbonara.

It is creamy and full of bacon. However, the portion is small. Although we have the voucher, I don’t really think it’s cheap! Don’t mention about the normal price. I still think I can get a better carbonara from other restaurant with a lower price, if compare to Via Pre.

This is the second time I went to Ric’s burger. For this round, I ordered the one with egg. The set comes with fries and lemonade.

The pork patty is a bit thinner than previous one I have. It is still dry as before. It is different than the Dayumm Burger, which is more juicier. Anyhow, I like both. The fries are nice too! They are using the fresh potatoes and not the frozen one.

I ordered the Jappanese Curry Katsu Don from the lunch set menu. It comes with appetizer, chawanmushi, miso soup and fruits. The lunch set is worth it as it is much cheaper than the regular price.

The Japanese Curry does not give me a wow factor. The chicken katsu is not too oily though. You will be super full after you finish the whole set.

One thing to mention, the environment of Rakuzen is nice. I like it. There are also other set lunch that seems to be nice. I will go there again to try other food in future.
