I bought the Xi Mut Nai Cha 丝袜奶茶 (Creamy Milk Tea) Mooncake from Hai Wai Tian. It’s the latest flavor for this year. I only tried it last week.

To me, it is not that special. The filling was not good if compare to pure lotus. The taste was so normal until I cannot remember how was the taste. It’s not cheap though. It’s RM12 per piece. Luckily I got a 20% on that day.

Lotus paste mooncake will still be my favorite mooncake. 🙂

My mum, brother and I went to meet up my brother’s friend’s mum and sister on last Sunday. We went to one of the vegetarian restaurant in Farlim. All of us have Curry Meehoon as our lunch.

The curry meehoon was specially made by the cook. All the ingredients were vegetarian based. The soup was cooked without using the santan (coconut milk). From what I heard, the cook used the bean curd to make the soup. How he cooked it? I have no idea. 🙂

The restaurant is located at Farlim, just beside the Internet Cafe which the usage is charged at 50 cents per hour. For the exact address, I don’t have it. So sorry.

My friend like the curry mee from the corner coffee shop in Kampung Jawa.

The other day, during lunch time, he ordered the curry mee again. This time, he ordered only with meehoon instead of mee.

According to him, the curry meehoon was nice, especially the curry chicken on top. I tried before but I have forgotten the taste. Maybe I can try that again if I go there for lunch in the future.

Few years back, Hai Wai Tian has the very first dragon fruit mooncake, called Man Ji Qin Hong 万紫千红. If it is directly translated to English, it will be Ten Thousand Purple, Thousand Red.

From the mooncake given by my mum’s friend, there is one dragon fruit mooncake. It is not from Hai Wai Tian. I have no idea where it is from. But, the name is not Man Ji Qin Hong. It is Man Ji Qin Long 万紫千龙, Ten Thousand Purple, Thousand Dragon. The name totally not match. In Chinese, there is no such phrase as 万紫千龙.

This dragon fruit mooncake was a bit sweet. Eventually, most of the mooncakes are sweet! Remember, after eat the mooncake, must drink more water or tea. If not, maybe you will fall sick later.

* 万紫千红 (Wan Zi Qian Hong) is a Chinese idiom.

My mum’s friend gave us this Mooncake, Coffee and Nuts. I was curious how the taste will be. So, I cut it and try it out.

The taste was so so. You can get a bit of the coffee aroma before you cut it. However, when you eat, the coffee taste was not that strong. I prefer it to be stronger. Furthermore, the filling was not soft enough, it was a bit hard. I expect to have some nuts, but I only found the melon seeds inside. There are only a few!!!

Overall, this mooncake was not that nice. I have no idea where is my mum’s friend bought his mooncake, but one thing I am sure, it is not recommended!

I bought the Polo Bun from Queensbay Wong Kok. It was located at the basement, just opposite the escalator. Normally I will buy the egg tart as well, but I didn’t buy it that day.

I loved Polo Bun. I tried it in Hong Kong when I was there. It was very nice. The one in Wong Kok also not that bad. I like the top part, it is crispy. I bought one with custard filling and another one with butter. Until now, I still prefer the one with butter although butter will make me fat!!!

The one with custard was not that good. The custard was a bit tasteless, made the whole Polo Bun become not that tasty, if compare the one with butter.

The custard was Orange. I thought custard should be in Yellow? Hmmm, I have no idea.

Went to T.G.I. Friday’s for the second time. Again, department pay for the visit. 🙂

Remember I mentioned about the old menu during my first visit? Yeah, T.G.I. Friday’s changed a new one! This is the front of the menu.

Back of the menu.

We are so hungry. We quickly grab the menu and order for the food. 🙂

While waiting for the food, I was playing with my friend’s camera. It’s a Nikon.

This is the food I ordered, is the Jack Daniel’s Salmon. My friends also ordered the same dish, but the salmon came in different size! My friend asked, why so unfair? Hahaha. The grilled salmon (I think it’s grill) was good. I like the mashed potato a lot. The vegetables were as usual, not that special. There was a sauce came with the salmon, the Jack Daniel’s sauce. The sauce was mix with a little bit of wine. I was not really like it though. Just OK to me.

My another friend ordered Key West Grosper. It’s the fish fillet with vegetables.

Overall, the food was standard, meet the food quality. The only concern is the price. It was too expensive for me.

Almost every time, for our shift team building, we will go for eat. We always plan of going other place but end up will be eating eating eating. For last quarter shift’s team building, we went to T.G.I. Friday’s. This is the very first time I went there.

The menu. They are quite old. They should change a new one, and they really did. Please check on the Part 2 post.

The Sirloin and Roasted Lamb. Check out the price, they are not cheap!

Chicken & Shrimp, Chicken Strips and Lynchburg Lemonade. Oh My God!!! RM18.90 for one lemonade!!! We can eat a lot of nice food with RM18.90!

The cutlery.

The environment was quite nice.

I ordered this drink, Fudge Milk Shake. This is very nice! A bit sweet but I just like it. I ordered the same drink again when I was there last week. Again, please stay tune on the Part 2.

My friend ordered the lunch set, which comes with this appetizer, Fried Cheese. I just loved it.

This is the main course for myself, Jack Daniel’s Chicken & Shrimp. It looks so nice in the menu but the serving seems not nice at all. Jack Daniel’s Chicken & Shrimp comes with breast chicken meat, fried shrimps, mashed potato, vegetables and served with the Jack Daniel’s sauce.

This is the dessert from my friend’s lunch set. It’s the brownie. It was very nice and I ate almost the whole slice since my friend cannot finish it. I was lucky. 🙂

Overall, T.G.I. Friday’s was not a bad restaurant. The price for the food was a bit expensive but the price for the drink was totally too expensive!! The environment was good. I heard that, if you are having birthday at T.G.I. Friday’s, you will need to stand on top of the chair. I never experience that and I hope I can see that in future.

On the second day of the team building, we also have a buffet lunch, but this time it was at another restaurant. I ate not much this time.

The spaghetti was very very nice. You can actually what want, either spaghetti, macaroni, or others.

A closer view.

Of course, I will not miss my ice cream. 🙂

I didn’t take the photo of my main course. It was just a normal buffet food, not really special.

The food I have.

This is from my friend.

Dessert is the main course to me. I like desserts!!!

Last but not least, my beloved ice cream. Yummy Yummy.

I was so full on that day.

Finally I bought the McDonald’s Double Spicy Chicken McDeluxe and try it out. I have seen the advertisement for some time. The other day, I saw it again in the newspaper, it was the whole page advertisement. The advertisement really works. At least, it works on me. 🙂

This Double Spicy Chicken McDeluxe was super yummy. If you like the normal Spicy Chicken McDeluxe or the Zinger Burger from KFC, you should not miss this Double Spicy Chicken McDeluxe. The chicken was good and spicy. However, if you are not a big eater, normal McDeluxe will just be fine for you. I was full after eating the meal set which comes with the fries and coke.

You can get the Double Spicy Chicken McDeluxe from any McDonalds outlet from all around Malaysia.

For those who know me, I like prawns very much.

This is the Asam Ko Prawn cooked by my mum. They are nice, I can finish all of them. But of course, I never did that. I need to leave some to others. 🙂

I like all kind of dessert, Bee Ko Moi is one of them. Bee Ko Moi is in Hokkien. In English, it is called Black Glutinous Rice Broth. In Malay, is Pulut Hitam.

I bought this Bee Ko Moi from one of the coffee shop in Sungai Nibong, opposite the Public Bank, beside the fly over towards Queensbay. Beside the coffee shop is the vegetarian restaurant. I hope you know where is it. It is just a stall. The stall is selling the economic fried noodle, bee hoon, chai kuey, fried popiah, chai tao kuih, kuih talam and etc.

Normally, coconut milk is added to the Bee Ko Moi before it is served. Some people who don’t like the coconut milk can eat without putting it. When I was a kid, if my mum is cooking the Bee Ko Moi, I will put a lot of coconut milk into it. It is very nice to eat the Bee Ko Moi with a lot of coconut milk.

I went out for my supper at Makbul Mamak stall last night. Actually I only wanted to have a cup of coffee. But in the end, I ordered Maggi Goreng.

The Maggi Goreng was served with the fried egg on top. I prefer the egg to be fried together with the noodle, it will taste better. It was a bit spicy but I am OK with it. The one who fried the noodle put too much water into it, make the noodle not dry enough. I would suggest the noodle to be fried a little bit longer. This Maggi Goreng costs RM3.

Overall, Makbul Maggi Goreng was just a normal fried noodle. I can fried better than this one. 🙂

I have 2 RM10 Coffee Bean vouchers which will expire by tomorrow. I don’t want to waste them, so I went to Coffee Bean at Queensbay to grab some ice blended coffee and cake.

My Mocha Black Forect Ice Blended.

My cake. What cake is that?

Ta da…… It’s the Chicago Cheese Cake.

Another view of the cheese cake.

Both ice blended and cheese cake are good. The taste is so nice.

The ice blended costs RM13.80 and cheese cake costs RM7.90. I still need to pay additional RM2.80 but it was OK. There are really nice!
