Bimbimbap come into my mind when I know I am going for Korean food lunch. I showed my sister and she said this is not authentic enough.

Anyhow, it is not bad at all. I quite like it. It is rice served in the hot stone bowl, with vegetables and egg. You can try it if you go Daorae next time.

Tonkatsu Don is the deep fried pork cutlet rice with egg. It comes with the miso soup and pickles.

The sauce is a bit too much. Anyhow, I still finish all since I am way too hungry on that day.

I got all these from my company cafe. There are 3 types: Yam, Meat and Lotus with yolk.

All three are not bad, just that the skin is a little too thick. I prefer the one with Lotus and yolk. The lotus is sweet and the yolk is salty. The combination is just nice. It is RM1.50 each.

By looking at the menu, I have no idea on what to order. In the end, I ordered the assorted sushi. It is meant for 1 person.

Although it looks less, after finishing it, you will feel full. The portion is just nice. It costs RM22.

It has been a long time I never eat this. It called Putu Piring. Why? Because the shape is like a piring. Piring is a Malay word means plate. Putu Piring is made from rice flour. It is stuffed with brown sugar inside and eat together with the coconut and sugar.

I think of eating it again when I look at this picture. Yummy!

One of my favorite Japanese food, Okonomiyaki. It’s a Japanese pizza.

It is so delicious until I went there 2 days in a row. It is not that cheap though, RM24 is the price. I like it and I think it worth the price.

My aunt gave this. The very first question that come to my mind when I saw this, is the egg clean enough before they make this pudding?

I tried one. It is like the egg tart filling. I am not really fancy about it. Tried one is enough.

The question is still bothering me until now.

Ayamas is doing promotion for buying 2 birds for RM29.90 on one of the voucher site. I saw it and manage to grab one. It has been a long time since I eat Ayamas. From what I remembered, one bird is selling at RM12.90 at that time. Now, it is at least RM24.90 per bird! With the voucher, it is a super great deal. 3 flavor to choose from: Percik, Black Pepper and Golden Roast. I ordered the Percik and Black Pepper but they gave me Percik and Golden Roast instead. I just notice when I got home.

Percik

Golden Roast

Both are nice! I like it.

My friend fetched us for food hunting when I visited her during the CNY. Since steamboat is schedule at night time, we still have time to go around for some tea break. At first, they want to try the Laksa but it was not open. In the end, we ordered the curry puff instead.

The curry puff is made and fried on the spot base on the ingredient you requested. I chose the chicken and my friends chose the sardine. It is crispy and good. The price is cheap too, only RM1 per piece!

My friend made the Loh Bak for the CNY reunion dinner. When I saw the photo she posted, I told her I want to try them. According to her, she was not sure whether the Loh Bak can keep until we meet on the 6th day of CNY. Seems like I am on the lucky side. We have steamboat on that day and she still have a few Loh Bak for us.

I’m so happy I have the chance to taste the Loh Bak. It is yummy! I need to request more next year! 🙂

Bubur Cha Cha is a dessert that cooked on the 15th day of Chinese New Year. It is a mixture of ingredients like sweet potato (orange, purple and yellow), yam, black-eyed peas, banana and Rice Cake/Chinese New Year’s cake with coconut pandan base soup.

The ingredients need to be separated from the soup especially the rice cake and banana. It is nice to eat in hot soup. Nowadays, you can find the cold version too. For my own preference, I like the hot one. Have you ate yours this year?

Chinese New Year is the time for me to eat all the CNY cookies without thinking much. Among all, I like the Peanut Cookies and Green Pea Cookies. Every year, my mom will make the peanut cookies but not the green pea cookies. It is not that easy to get the green pea powder if compare to peanut powder. Maybe we never make it that is why we have no idea where to get it. Both cookies have similar way for making them. The main difference will be the powder.

The above Green Pea Cookies are given by my aunt. I think her friend gave her that. I can eat non stop until finish the whole bottle. However, I will try to control for not eating too much. If not, I will gain weight. Apart from gaining weight, I need to tell myself to drink as much water as I can for not getting sore throat.

After trying the Japanese Curry Katsu Don the other day, I ordered Japanese Curry Udon this time.

It is too salty since the gravy is covered over the Udon, not like the Katsu Don, only has it on the side. I feel a little bit too much. Don’t think of ordering it in future. I still prefer to have the sushi or other food instead.

Recently, I go to Sakae Sushi quite often. This round, I ordered the Japanese Curry Katsu Don.

When you taste the curry, you will know that it is made by using the curry powder. It is more on the salty side rather than spicy. It is not like the one I tasted before in the US.
