Most of the time when I go to Super Tanker, I will order the Claypot Rice. But this time, I change my order. I made the decision to try out the Belacan Rice instead. This is the very first time I try the Belacan Rice although I have heard about it many times.

Many people are ordering the Belacan Rice until they forgot about me. When I approached them and asked about it, the owner asked me to serve it myself. I was OK with that, as long as I got the food.

The Belacan Rice was nice. It was served with mango slices, ikan bilis, onion and egg. The rice was full of Belacan taste. The mango slices were a bit sour but I just like it. The ikan bilis were crispy. The only thing is the onion was too much, I just ate a few since I’m not really like to eat raw onion.

If you go to Super Tanker and out of idea on what to order, you can try out this Belacan Rice.

Have you tried the Roti Tissue before? Normally, you will only get a small piece. But in Kayu, you will get this huge Roti Tissue that needs 3 plates to cover it.

Order this just for the sake for taking photos. Hehehe.

I bought the donuts when I was in the Seberang Perai City few weeks back. I have seen these kind of donuts many times but I didn’t buy them. It was too expensive for me! I can get some other great food with the RM2.20, right?

Since I never try before, I decided to buy 12 of them.

The presentation of the donuts was good. They look really nice and attracting. For the taste wise, there were a bit sweet. The donuts are soft to be eaten. Do try them out at least once, since they are quite famous for the time being.

It has been a long time since I have Satay. If it’s not because of my brother, I don’t think I will buy the Satay. I went to Super Tanker and ordered 10 sticks of Chicken Batu Maung Satay. It costs 65 cents each. According to the owner, no sauce is needed since the Satay is marinated with the spices. However, I still asked for the sauce. I just love the Satay sauce. Yummy!

I manage to take some photos on the raw Satay and those on top of the BBQ pit before they are served.

Satay always comes with onion and cucumber. I only eat the cucumber and not the onion. Hehe.

A very normal rice. It was always nice and delicious, especially the crispiness of the roasted pork.

You can get Roasted Pork & Barbeque Pork Rice from any chicken rice stall in Penang or other states.

I have this Thai Spicy Chicken Wantan Mee at KLCC food court when I went there 2 weeks ago.

Actually, it is just a normal wantan mee, with the thai spicy chicken add on.

Overall, it was not bad. I like the Thai Spicy Chicken. But the noodle was just a normal one. If you happen to go to KLCC, maybe you can try it out. It costs RM6.90 if I am not mistaken.

Last 2 weeks when I followed my brother to renew his passport, we went to the coffee shop which is famous for its nasi lemak, to have breakfast, while waiting for the passport to be ready. After we have our main breakfast, we still feel a bit hungry and decided to order passembur.

This passembur was not bad but a bit spicy. It has all the ingredient like what other has. It just a normal one.

If you want to have the passembur with your choice of ingredients, you can go to the Gurney Drive hawker center. There are many stalls selling that. You can choose whatever you want. However, bear in mind, the price will be a little bit expensive if compare to this normal one.

I brought my brother to Teluk Bayan the other day to let him try out the hawker food. I ordered the HK Style Chee Cheong Fun since he wants to try it.

I ordered 2, one with char siew and another one with prawn.

The filling was less. The prawn was not fresh and when the Chee Cheong Fun was served, they were cold. I was disappointed with them.

I bought the Xi Mut Nai Cha 丝袜奶茶 (Creamy Milk Tea) Mooncake from Hai Wai Tian. It’s the latest flavor for this year. I only tried it last week.

To me, it is not that special. The filling was not good if compare to pure lotus. The taste was so normal until I cannot remember how was the taste. It’s not cheap though. It’s RM12 per piece. Luckily I got a 20% on that day.

Lotus paste mooncake will still be my favorite mooncake. 🙂

I think of posting about my travel from last time until now. I am not sure whether there are people want to read about it. First, I need to sort out all the photos and try to remember what is happening on the trip. But, I need time on that. There are so many photos!

What do you think?

My mum, brother and I went to meet up my brother’s friend’s mum and sister on last Sunday. We went to one of the vegetarian restaurant in Farlim. All of us have Curry Meehoon as our lunch.

The curry meehoon was specially made by the cook. All the ingredients were vegetarian based. The soup was cooked without using the santan (coconut milk). From what I heard, the cook used the bean curd to make the soup. How he cooked it? I have no idea. 🙂

The restaurant is located at Farlim, just beside the Internet Cafe which the usage is charged at 50 cents per hour. For the exact address, I don’t have it. So sorry.

My friend like the curry mee from the corner coffee shop in Kampung Jawa.

The other day, during lunch time, he ordered the curry mee again. This time, he ordered only with meehoon instead of mee.

According to him, the curry meehoon was nice, especially the curry chicken on top. I tried before but I have forgotten the taste. Maybe I can try that again if I go there for lunch in the future.

Few years back, Hai Wai Tian has the very first dragon fruit mooncake, called Man Ji Qin Hong 万紫千红. If it is directly translated to English, it will be Ten Thousand Purple, Thousand Red.

From the mooncake given by my mum’s friend, there is one dragon fruit mooncake. It is not from Hai Wai Tian. I have no idea where it is from. But, the name is not Man Ji Qin Hong. It is Man Ji Qin Long 万紫千龙, Ten Thousand Purple, Thousand Dragon. The name totally not match. In Chinese, there is no such phrase as 万紫千龙.

This dragon fruit mooncake was a bit sweet. Eventually, most of the mooncakes are sweet! Remember, after eat the mooncake, must drink more water or tea. If not, maybe you will fall sick later.

* 万紫千红 (Wan Zi Qian Hong) is a Chinese idiom.
