There is a burger stall in Pantai Jerjak, at the corner of the field. It starts the business around 6pm or 7pm in the evening every day, except Wednesday. Wednesday has “pasar malam” there.

What is so special about this burger? It is CHEAP! Yes, you hear me right, CHEAP! For a burger special, it is less than RM3. Burger special will have cheese and egg. Can you believe? For other burger stall, burger special will cost more than RM3 for sure.

Last time, this stall is handled by the old man. I think the old man has passed the business to his sons. There are a lot of business at night. You need to wait for some time before you can get your order.

If you have time, maybe can give it a try, WORTH trying after all.

I like this fried rice. It smells really good. The smell will make you hungry and think of eating it. But, it is not that special like what its name. It is just a normal fired rice to me, just that they put in the spices, make it a bit different if compare to the normal fried rice.

It costs RM12. From the price, it seems to be expensive in the fried rice range. But according to the owner of the restaurant, the price will revise in a later time. I am not sure whether they want to reduce the price or put in more ingredients. For me, I still opt to reducing the price. 🙂

Demax Restaurant is located at D’Piazza Mall, near to the Sunshine Square.

“Lou Sang”, one of the MUST do event during CNY! Last year, I have it in Double Good Restaurant with my friends. This year, I bought the ready made Yu Sang from Tesco and have it in my friend’s house.

It’s fun to have it in your friend’s place if compare to have it in the restaurant. You can shout as loud as you can since there are only few of us. Haha. I still have another box in my house. For sure there will be another Lou Sang session before CNY ends.

Every year, during CNY, we will have a lot of cookies to eat. My friend is selling the cookies this year. To support her, I bought some from her.

Almond London. This is very good. The chocolate is bitter sweet. But I still think it is a bit sweet for me. Overall, Thumbs Up.

Pineapple Tart, another cookies that I like.

Both cookies packaging are nicely decorated. A transparent box with a ribbon on top, the perfect choice to give to your friends and relatives as the CNY gift.

This is one of the dish from Pearl Palace Restaurant. The chicken is really deep fried. It is crispy.

The decoration of this dish is better if compare to others. It has a carrot carving dragon. Awesome! I like this dish a lot, very nice and delicious.

I like dessert. My friends who know me well know about this. When go for a buffet, dessert will be my main course. I will try each and every of them. From my memory, I cannot think of any restaurant that provide good desserts. Most of them are not really nice, just average. Maybe my expectation is too high.

Hardwicke House provides a lot of desserts on their dessert corner. I was happy to see so many desserts are served. I tried almost all of them. I know desserts are fattening, but I just cannot help it.

I ordered this western food set lunch from the same coffee shop that sell famous Koay Teow Thng and Chicken Rice in Sungai Nibong. I never noticed this until that day. This western food stall provides set lunch at RM5.50. It includes mushroom soup, garlic bread, rice, egg, and a choice of 8 different main course: BBQ Pork Chop, Grill Pork, Grill Fish, Fish & Chip, Chicken Chop, etc…

Although the main course dish comes with small portion, for a price of RM5.50, it is reasonable. In fact, you will be full with so many items in the set lunch. Overall, the set lunch is quite worth the price. If you don’t want to have the set lunch, you always can order the main course western food which comes with the original portion.

Recently, I went to have lunch at Sungai Nibong area during my day shift. I am not sure the coffee shop name, but it was the one with the famouse Bah Kut Teh previously. During lunch time, it is famous for Koay Teow Thng and the Chicken Rice. However, what I want to recommend today is the BBQ Pork and Roasted Pork from the Chicken Rice stall.

DSC03125

The BBQ pork is better if compare to the Roasted Pork. I only ordered the BBQ & Roasted Pork without the rice. The above small portion of BBQ Pork and Roasted Pork costs RM3. To me it is still reasonable.

If you have no idea where to go for lunch, maybe you can go to this coffee shop and try it out. It is just opposite the Goh Teo Kee restaurant.

Happiness Family, what a nice name for a dish. Happiness Family consists of 5 types of sushi in one plate. It is provided by Sushi Kitchen.

IMG_9487

Besides the Golden Age, Happiness Family is another sushi that makes us want more. They are so delicious. We ordered the big portion, costs us RM24.80. Price wise, it is acceptable. If the food is yummy, price will become a not so important stuff anymore.

This is one of the sushi from Sushi Kitchen. It is called Golden Age. Just in case you don’t know, Sushi Kitchen serves meatless food, means healthier to all of us.

img_9530

Golden Age, of course must have something which is gold in color. For this purpose, Sushi Kitchen is using the mango to represent golden. The mango is taste is just great, together with the sushi, make it a perfect match. I like this sushi very much. Too bad, it is not available every day. On my second visit, I never see this from the menu. Luckily I have it on my first visit.

My friend ordered this Satay Fried Rice from the Satay Hut in One Stop complex. They actually forgot about the fried rice order. We have been waiting and waiting until I go and ask them about it. They said, you order the fried rice? Since my friend is quite hungry, we decided to wait. If not, I will just leave.

img_9372

The Satay Fried Rice is normal to me, not really that special. Normal fried rice plus 4 sticks of satay, together with the satay sauce. I think I can cook a better fried rice if compare to them. What I need is, go to the satay stall and buy the satay. Hahaha.

Finally I have the chance to taste the roasted goose in Hong Kong. I have it on the night just after I reached there.

img_8175

I was seriously flu on that day, I cannot taste anything. I made the wrong decision, I was not suppose to order that. Anyway, it is just an ordinary meat to me. It is not cheap though. The drumstick that you see from the photo above costs 70 Hong Kong Dollar. Maybe I should try that one more time in future when I visit Hong Kong.

This is the very first food I have on the first day in Cheng Du. It is just a normal Ramen by the hawker on the road side.

img_5807

It was spicy and the taste was good in such a cold weather. Yes, Cheng Du is cold at this time. I just noticed that food in Cheng Du, always come in a big portion, like those in the US.

If I talked about Kulim Laksa, I think most of the people who work in Kulim will know where to get the laksa.

img_5624

To me, the laksa is just normal, not the one I like. Maybe I seldom eat laksa and it is not my favorite hawker food over all. Besides laksa, the stall is also having ice kacang. I like the ice kacang more than the laksa.
