On the day I have the char kuey kak, I bought the ban chang kueh too.

The stall is in the Terengganu Road market. I think it’s called Taman Free School instead since it is written on the stall.

Nowadays, you can add many stuffs inside the ban chang kueh: tuna, sausage, banana, chocolate, cheese, and etc. For me, I still prefer the ban chang kueh with corn, yummy yummy. It’s been a while I didn’t have the ban chang kueh with egg. I will try it during my next visit.

Oppps, I have eaten a bit before this photo is taken. Hehehe.

I have this cucur udang with Akira and Siang, when Siang came to meet us. Before we brought him to this place, Akira and I have already gone to the coffee shop and have lunch.

This cucur udang is ordered by Akira and I paid for it. I forgot how much it costs anymore.

Overall, it is just a normal cucur udang, not really special to me.

I have lunch in Gurney Plaza after watching the movie Forbidden Kingdom on April 18. I bring my mum along. ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t know what to have for lunch. Chopper Board is just 1 or 2 floors below the cinema, so we just have the lunch there.

I ordered the Black Pepper Chicken Rice Set and my mum asked for Spicy Bake Chicken Rice Set. The set is come with the ginseng drink, either cold or hot. we asked for hot.

The food was OK, reached the average level. The black pepper is quite hot and spicy, but it was just nice. I’m not sure about the spicy bake chicken. I didn’t try it.

Chopper Board has a few branches in Penang: Bukit Jambul, Queensbay, Tesco and Gurney.

One of my dinner during my night shift. I went to the coffee shop in Pekaka, the one with the famous fried rice king. I didn’t ordered fried rice king since I was not really hungry on that day. I have Char Hor Fun instead.

The Char Hor Fun looks so small plate. If you are hungry, better don’t order this. You will still feel hungry if you only eat this.

It seems to be a tradition for us to bring our China’s counter part to have a steamboat dinner. Normally, we will go to the same restaurant near Penang Plaza. But this time, one of my colleague recommend us to go to a new steamboat restaurant, Town Steamboat Restaurant, which is located in Macalister Road, opposite the UMNO building.

Town Steamboat Restaurant serves all kind of steamboat food. You can get anything you want, as much as you like! It’s a buffet style. If you are hungry and cannot wait for the food to be cooked, you can get the ready food such as dim sum, egg tart, nugget, fried wantan and satay.

The steamboat will divide into 2 parts, one with the normal soup and one with tomyam. I like the tomyam soup. ๐Ÿ™‚ Around the bowl, you can fried your food on top.

For the drinks, you can choose ribena, orange juice or even Chinese tea! The best part is the ice cream. I think most of you know me well, I like ice cream very much. I take the ice cream twice. Hehe. Many people are queuing up just to get the ice cream.

The restaurant is crowded with people. There is one thing that I don’t like about this restaurant: smoke is everywhere. This happens to most of the steamboat restaurant.

The price is cheap, 17.90 for weekdays and 19.90 for weekends, per person. For senior citizen who is above 55 years old, the price will be 12.90 for weekdays and 13.90 for weekend. If you are shorter, you even can get a lower price. I’m not kidding, look at the menu below.

Overall, the food is good. The service is not bad. The location is good as well. They even have a parking lot at the back. I will definitely go there again in the future.

After I have the Fettes Park Western Food with Akira, we went to eat again the very next day!

I wanted to go to PC fair on that day. Akira said he will go as well. I asked him to come fetch me and he agreed. However, he let me waited for around 1 hour before he reached. =.=” It was 3pm and he still not having his lunch yet. That is why we went to the Bukit Jambul Pan Mee before going to the PC fair. Why we called it Bukit Jambul Pan Mee? Is it because the coffee shop is located opposite Bukit Jambul?

As usual, Akira was taking the photos non stop. I need to thank him since I will use his photos instead of mine. The photos that I took were not good at all. ๐Ÿ™

Anyway, we need to order the food ourselves by writing on the paper! It’s the same as those restaurant outside!

The workers are preparing the Pan Mee. Nowadays, you can see a lot of Indonesia maid are helping to cook as well in a coffee shop. It seems like the boss has passed the “kung fu” to them.

This is the one ordered by Akira, a big one.

For me, I only ordered the small size. It turned out to be a really small bowl!!!

The Pan Mee is not bad but it’s too black! I think they put a lot of the thick soy sauce.

P/S I’m not sure Akira will kill me or not since he not yet posted on this and I used most all of his photos! Hahaha. I don’t think he will, he is a nice guy!

During my day shift of working day, I will go to Kampung Jawa for breakfast with friends. We normally will go to the coffee shop near Petronas. But on that day, we tried the one in another corner.

I ordered Curry Mee and Kopi O. There is a stall selling “You Char Kueh”. I bought one and share with my friend.

The Curry Mee served in a small portion with additional ingredients in it: chicken meat and fish balls. I still prefer the one in the coffee shop near Petronas. For the “You Char Kueh”, it’s not crispy enough. However, Kopi O + “You Char Kueh” = the perfect match ever!

There will be time that I was not able to go out and have lunch due to too many job and not enough people handle it. Normally, I will ask my colleague to help me buy the food for me, either fried rice or chicken rice.

Last Tuesday, my colleague needs to go to BJ during lunch time to buy some stuff. I asked her to buy me lunch. My colleague bought me Kam Heong Fried Rice from the coffee shop opposite BJ Complex. I never tried that before.

Out of my expectation, the Kam Heong Fried Rice was very nice! Anyone try this fried rice before?

Kuih, my favorite. I like most of them. Every time when I go to the kuih’s stall, I cannot help myself but buy all kind of kuih. However, I only can choose some of them because I will not able to finish them. If possible, I would like to buy all of them! Hahaha.

OK, It’s Kuih time!

Do you know what is the name of this kuih? I called it “Bomb” or “Zha Tan”. Hahaha, of course it’s not the correct name. By the way, do you want to know what is the filling inside?

Here you go…. It’s peanuts.

Want to eat the kuih? The first one who comment and correctly name all the kuih will have the chance to eat them! Yes, I will treat you! Siapa cepat, dia dapat! ๐Ÿ™‚

Today is my best friend’s birthday. I want to wish him Happy Birthday. Why I wish him Happy Birthday on this post? Of course I have the meaning. This Rasa Sayang Buffet is actually his Birthday Dinner from my another best friend.

Normally, 3 of us (Jiin Ling, Boon Huat and I) will go out to have dinner during our birthday. Although it’s not on the main day, we will try to arrange it. This job is normally done by the one and only Jiin Ling. She is the coordinator for our outing. She needs to call our big boss (yes, we call our friend big boss because he is very busy with his job) and me to make an appointment. After both of us are OK on the date, only confirmation will be made. Not forget to mention, she is also our driver. I will drive to her house and she will then go fetch him at his place.

We have this dinner on 5 April, Saturday, 16 days earlier than his birthday. Jiin Ling made the decision to go for Rasa Sayang Buffet. She has the discount card. Although it’s a 25% discount, it’s not cheap!!! To me, it’s very expensive! I am not sure when will be the next time for me to go again. The price is RM132++ per person!!! Cheap? Expensive? What do you think?

OK, main purpose of this post is to show you all the food there. There are a large varieties of food for you to choose from. The setting and the environment on the food corner are great! The food is fantastic! Very very yummy and nice! I eat quite a number of lobsters, prawns, fish, Oysters and many many more!!! Let’s don’t talk so much, let me see you all the food photos.

I only have one thing to regret for. I should have taken as much photos as I can but I didn’t. Too bad. I hope I will have the chance to go again and take all the photos!

I’m the one who always go and eat. Both of them are the one who always treat me. I’m so pai seh some times. Haha, some times only. Who asked I’m the one with less $$$ among 3 of us? Wakakakakaka.

Anyway, Thanks to Jiin Ling for treating me this fabulous buffet dinner. Once again, Happy Birthday to our big boss, Boon Huat. Oh, let me help him to advertise here. If you are looking for a Professional Insurance agent, you can look for him. He is the best agent ever. ๐Ÿ™‚

One more thing (hahaha, I’m a bit “cheong hei” for this post), if you never try this buffet, although it’s a bit expensive (actually is very!!!), you need to try it out, at least once in your lifetime! Hahaha.

Overal rating for the food and environment, I will give 5 stars out of 5 stars and Two Thumbs Up!!

I went to have western food with Akira just now. Akira said this restaurant serve a nice western food. Since I never went there, I want to give it a try. The restaurant was located at Tanjung Tokong, beside the Fatty Loh restaurant.

We found ourselves the seat and ordered the drinks. For the food, we need to go and made the order by our own.

Akira brought along his camera and he was busying taking photos non stop while I was looking at the menu, thinking of what to order.

See, got prove one! He was really busy!!!

He even took the photo on the frying pan.

At first, I want to order Hawaiian Chicken. Then Akira asked me whether want to have cheese or not. Just by adding a slice of cheese, Hawaiian Chicken will become Holland Chicken. Hmmmm, it’s so funny to me. Anyway, I ordered Holland Chicken and Akira ordered Chicken Cordon Bleu.

The food was yummy! Very yummy indeed. Akira was kind enough to give me some of his Cordon Bleu. ๐Ÿ™‚ The environment was not bad as well.

Akira was a very nice guy because he thought I was only 2 years older than him. How nice he is! Haha. When I told him my age, he said I didn’t look like it. Oh, should I be happy about this? ๐Ÿ˜€ I treated him this dinner, since he treated me the Kaya Puff previously. Remember the Ipoh Kaya Puff? Akira asked his friend to bought it from Ipoh.

For western food lovers out there, you can try out this restaurant! It’s recommended!

* Some photos are taken from Akira. I didn’t turn on the flash while taking the photos, become not nice. Next time I will try turn it on.

Hoon gave me this when I was in Singapore last December. It’s the limited edition of M & M’s. It’s only available in the mart in the petrol station. You cannot get it elsewhere.

There are 3 colors: green, light green and white. Don’t ask me what is the flavor for each, I already forgot. ๐Ÿ™‚ I just know they are super yummy!

Thanks Hoon for buying this for me!!

This is the 3rd time I go to Manhattan Fish Market, if I’m not mistaken. I didn’t plan to go there to have lunch in the first place.

Last 2 times, I don’t need to pay for the food. My friend treat me once and another one is department team building. This time, I ordered Fish n Chip, the cheapest food in the menu, 14.90.

The Fish n Chip served in a big portion, as you can see from the photo below. At first, you will feel the food was nice. But, after you eat for some time, it’s not that nice anymore. I think the portion is too big and it’s too oily.

Is it worth the price? To me, you can get a better Fish n Chip out there with a lower price. I think of the western food in Tanjung Bunga. I think you guys will know which one I’m talking about.

I will cook the instant noodle if I am lazy to go out and buy food.

I think most of the people will know how to cook instant noodle. Some will just eat the noodle with soup. Some will add in a lot of ingredients to make the noodle more yummy. For me, normally I will only add in egg.

The other day, besides egg, I added in 2 sausages. I bought the sausage from Sunshine Square during the sales. The noodle was yummy.

Of course la….. It’s Allen’s Instant Noodle, for sure it was yummy! ๐Ÿ™‚
